She’s had an extravagant few days across the country celebrating her fifth birthday – that her mum Kim Kardashian has delighted in posting every minute of on social media – so it’s no wonder North West finally had enough.
The five year old was spotted kicking off on the way to a restaurant in New York, forcing her dad – a steely-faced Kanye West – to take matters into his own hands and carry his daughter in for dinner.
To be fair, it’s been a long month for North. Kim and Kanye’s oldest child had a joint unicorn-themed party with her cousin, Penelope Disick, in LA last week, then she was flown to New York this week.
She was taken out for ice-cream and sweets with Kim on Thursday, but appeared to finally have enough on Friday, when her parents arranged for her to have a birthday dinner at a fancy, grown-up restaurant – the last place a five-year-old would want to hang out in.
North had identical hair to Kim – (“I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom!”) and wore a cute gold Chinese embroidered dress and matching slippers. Looks like she was going to a different party that her parents, who stepped out in far more casual cargo trousers, oversized jumpers and big leather jackets.
Hopefully North cheered up at the dinner table, as she got two birthday cakes: a rainbow one filled with sweets and a gateau made to look like a burger.
Earlier in the day, Kim posted a tribute to her little girl – that presumably she wouldn’t read, as she’s too young to be on social media. Still, in the Kardashian world, if it didn’t happen on Instagram, then it didn’t happen at all. She said: “My baby girl turns 5 today. Never did I think back then that I would have my best friend for life! I’m so honored to be your mom Northie! You have brought more joy into my world than I ever could have imagined.
“I can’t believe your so big now! The luckiest girl in the world to be best friends with your cousins and have the most magical parties together! I love you so much birthday girl!”
She also thought that now would be an appropriate time to chastise North, and added: “P.S. Now that you’re 5, don’t you think it’s the mature thing to try to be nice to your brother now!?!”
Muuuuum! That’s so embarrassing. No wonder she looked annoyed.
